#3

This one was an adventure. Mari and the boys are up in Idaho for the weekend, and I am here so I thougt I would go for a harder cache. I only had my bike to get me there, and this one was past campus a ways. It was actually down a hill quite a bit as well, and took a good bit of hiking to get there. Unfortunately, I did not know the trails well and ended up hiking through the underbrush on a steep slope in my crocs. Oh well, it was an adventure. At one point I had to cross the logan canal, and since I had my backpack with me (full of electronic equipment that doesn't like to get wet) crossing the canal was an experience.

Here is where I ended up crossing, on a support bar. It gave me new appreciation for those movie stuntment that seem to run across thing like this with no problems.

I did actually find the cache. It was cleverly hidden, and well done, although you can't tell that from this picture. It looks like I'm rolling off the hill side. Maybe Mari will get me a better camera to take with me than my camera phone. ;)

Since I didn't want to ride my bike several miles out of the way, I tried to get at this one from the top of the hill. Since I didn't know the trails it took me about an hour to find it, but it took me about 5 minutes to get back. After all that hiking and searching, I found the easy trail down the hill side. Oh well. Next time I'll know better.

I did find a geocoin as well! This one has a halloween/creepy crawly theme.

you definately need a new camera. The 2 megapixels is not cutting it!
